WORKING FROM HOME: 3 tips to make your life easier

Hey Fusers!

It's no secret that the World has shifted over the last couple of weeks. We want to share with you three tips that we at FUSE use to stay on our A-game while working at home.

“It’s really clear the most precious resource we all have is time.” -Steve Jobs

It may seem like time crawls while you work from home, which makes procrastination such a problem. Plan and keep a daily log of your activities in a quality notebook. This allows you to track and control your life. Keep track of the exact time you begin and end each activity, then describe it and categorize it as work-related or personal. At the end of the day look back and determine how you could improve.

“A place for everything and everything in its place.” -Emyth

Now is the perfect time to simplify and organize your home workspace. Everything needs to have a place to belong, and if it does not, throw it out. If you haven’t watched Marie Kondo’s show “Tidying Up” on Netflix, give it a watch (after work of course). She recommends each of us to go through every item in our workspace and if it does not spark a feeling of joy, throw it out. Invest in some cabinets like these or what we use in the FUSE office here to keep your office organized and clean. This will eliminate stress and allow you to focus.

“The result of information overload is usually distraction, and it dilutes your focus and takes you off your game.” -Zig Ziglar

More now than ever, there is an overload of distractions hounding us while we work. Emails, Texts, Social Media, Phone Calls, Amazon deliveries, etc. Give yourself time each day to turn off all distractions and be 100% focused on your thoughts. Identify which of all of the previously mentioned requests is business-critical and which can wait a few hours. Take note of why and when you are most distracted, and improve the next day.

Remember we are all in this together! Don’t expect to be perfect in a day, and keep grinding!
